Hoje foi dia de visitar o corpo de bombeiros em Säynätsalo e este é um programa excelente pra levar as crianças (e, de quebra, os adultos também matam a curiosidade).
Os bombeiros ficam ali à disposição para explicar os equipamentos, como e quando são usados. Além de ver, as crianças podem experimentar algumas coisas como subir no caminhão do bombeiro.

Vale lembrar que a experiência é um pouquinho diferente do que temos no Brasil. Por exemplo, no Brasil a gente consegue facilmente adicionar serviços enquanto estamos sendo atendidos… tipo vai pra fazer as unhas e acaba cortando e escovando os cabelos também. Por aqui você reserva os serviços com antecendência e vai ser feito o que você reservou. Pode até acontecer de ter a disponibilidade de adicionar serviços ou encaixar um horário, mas é bem raro.

It is worth remembering that the experience is a little different from what we have in Brazil. For example, in Brazil we can easily add services while we are being attended to… like going to do our nails and end up getting a haircut and blow-drying it too. Here you book the services in advance and whatever you booked will be done. It may even happen to have the availability to add services or fit in a schedule, but it is very rare.

Alguém mais gosta de se aventurar na cozinha em dias chuvosos?! Hoje resolvi testar uma receitinha finlandesa que sempre ouvi dizer que era bem fácil de fazer e… não que é mesmo? É tipo um pãozinho de batata achatado… hehe… que se chama “perunarieska”. Experimente essa receita fácil, rápida e deliciosa e me conte o que achou dessa experiência.

3 dl de purê de batatas (ou se você está na Finlândia, pode preparar aquele em pó: 0.75 dl do pó e 3 dl de água fervendo)
1 ovo
1/2 colher de chá de sal
3 dl de farinha de trigo
Aqueça o forno a 250 graus. Misture bem o purê de batatas, adicione o sal, o ovo e a farinha de trigo aos poucos. Não precisa sovar a massa, apenas misture bem. Separe em 8 a 10 bolinhas e com as mãos úmidas faça discos e disponha na forma forrada com papel. Leve para o forno por mais ou menos 10 a 15 minutos, tirando assim que estiverem dourando por cima. Deixe amornar e sirva com uma manteiga derretendo em cima… delícia!

Anyone else like to bake on rainy days?! Today I decided to try out a little Finnish recipe that I’ve always heard was very easy to make and… it was! It’s like a flat potato bread… hehe… called “perunarieska”. You should definitely try this easy, quick and delicious recipe and let me know how do you like it.
PERUNARIESKA
3 dl of mashed potatoes (or if you are in Finland, you can prepare the powdered one: 0.75 dl of the powder and 3 dl of boiling water)
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon of salt
3 dl of wheat flour
Preheat the oven to 250 degrees Celsius. Stir the mashed potatoes well, add salt, egg and wheat flour little by little. No need to knead the dough, just mix it well. Separate into 8 to 10 parts and with wet hands make discs and arrange in a pan. Place in the oven for about 10 to 15 minutes, removing as soon as they are golden on top. Let it cool a little bit down and serve still warm with a butter melting on top… delicious!
